A double CD with Dora Bakopoulou playing works for piano by Chopin.
This is the first time that a Greek artiste records such a large volume of Frédéric Chopin´s works. The Polish composer, who undoubtedly “glorified” the pianistic idiom, and his work that flourished under the influence of traditional Polish music, constitute one of the strongest points of reference in Dora Bakopoulou’s musical education.
From her childhood (when she first heard the Grande Polonaise and was taken aback by the magic of his music) to date, she has played dozens of times, with the same youthful emotion, works by Chopin in concerts at home and abroad. Because, as she says, I belong to the family of men who share a common secret: the secret of his undying charm..
